Harper

02 Who arrives

Harper, and how she works.

Most of what she does in a pair is listening, to the other therapist's pace, to the breathing on the other side of the room, to which of you went quiet and why. Centrum bookings come with noise off the street and she works with it rather than against it, in the one unhurried language she has, so nothing needs explaining twice. More composed than her years suggest. She takes the long evenings often: dinner first, then the room, then whatever is left of the night.

Harper decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.

She works outcall only, your hotel room, your serviced apartment, your own flat. Forty to sixty minutes across the centre once the booking is settled, at any hour. Schiphol airport hotels are by arrangement.
