Couples Massage in Amsterdam: What the Two of You Should Expect

The question arrives twice in almost every first booking message — one of you asks what happens, the other asks what it will feel like. Here is the whole shape of it, from the message to the door closing.

It arrives in nearly every first message, and it arrives twice. One of you asks what actually happens. The other asks what it will feel like. Those are not the same question, and answering the pair of them properly takes longer than a booking form allows, so here is the whole shape of it — from the message you send to the door closing behind two therapists at the end of it.

Everything follows from one fact: there is no studio. The work is outcall only, which means your hotel room, your apartment, or the place the two of you have taken for four nights above a canal. Neither of you has to find an address in the rain. Neither of you has to dress again and walk back out into a cold street afterwards. The session ends where you already are, and that changes the last twenty minutes more than most people expect it to.

Two therapists travel together. In the centre, arrival is twenty to thirty minutes from a confirmed booking, and the confirmation itself takes about ten. They arrive dressed for the building they are walking into, carrying what the session needs and nothing that announces itself. Schiphol airport hotels are possible by arrangement rather than by default, and that one takes a little more setting up.

The first ten minutes

The conversation at the start is short, and it is held with each of you separately even though the two of you are standing in the same room. Pressure. Preferences. Anything recent and physical — a shoulder, a back, a flight that went badly. One of you may want deep classical work through the neck; the other may want something considerably slower. Nothing in the booking requires you to agree, and the questions page goes further into what happens when you do not.

Then the room gets arranged. Two working surfaces go side by side, far enough apart that neither therapist is moving around the other's elbows, close enough that the two of you could reach across if you wanted to. Lights come down. Phones go face down. Whatever was in the middle of the floor goes somewhere else, and it takes about four minutes.

The hour in the middle

What surprises couples most often is that both of you are worked on at the same time. Two therapists does not mean one therapist finishing with one of you and then starting on the other — that exists, it costs less, and it takes twice as long, but it is a different booking entirely. A pair work simultaneously. They agree their running order before anything begins, including where the turn falls, so the room holds one rhythm rather than two competing ones, and the two of you finish within a minute or two of each other.

Most couples talk for the first ten minutes and then stop. That is not awkwardness. That is the point at which the session takes over from the conversation about the session. From the halfway mark, the therapists are watching each other's progress rather than the clock, which is why the ending lands together even though the two hours inside the room were never identical. The couples booking is built around that single detail.

What it costs, and how it closes

Two therapists are €360 an hour. That is two full fees, and neither of them is halved because they happen to be sharing a room. Two hours is €720; three is €1,080. If the two of you would rather take one therapist each in sequence, the single ladder runs €180 for an hour, €270 for ninety minutes and €360 for two. An overnight for one person is €1,250 across eight hours. A whole night with two therapists is arranged on enquiry rather than priced, and the full ladder sits on the prices page.

Payment happens on arrival — cash in any major currency at the day's rate, card, or crypto. There is no night surcharge, no weekend surcharge and no travel charge inside the ring, so an eleven o'clock booking on a Saturday costs exactly what a Tuesday afternoon costs.

At the end the two of you are brought up slowly and separately, neither one waiting on the other, and then the room is yours again. What people remember afterwards is rarely the hour itself. It is usually the twenty minutes after it, which is the honest argument for booking somewhere you were already going to sleep.
