Danica, and how she works.

The other therapist gets the easier half of the evening: Danica keeps a count that never wavers, and it gives whoever is beside her something steady to mirror. She will ask what the two of you actually want rather than guess at it, and her directness saves everybody a quarter of an hour. The market end of De Pijp is where she lives and twenty-six is how old she is, and neither fact comes up unless you ask. Bookings run long, ninety minutes turning into three hours because there was no reason to stop. A low voice, rarely raised, which is most of why couples go quiet around her.

Danica decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.

She works outcall only, your hotel room, your serviced apartment, your own flat. Forty to sixty minutes across the centre once the booking is settled, at any hour. Schiphol airport hotels are by arrangement.
