Cricket

02 Who arrives

Cricket, and how she works.

At twenty-two she is one of the younger therapists on the roster, which she uses well: there is no performance in how she works, only attention. In a four-hand hour she watches the other therapist as closely as she watches the two of you, matching pressure, pausing where they pause, changing sides when they change. Couples booking a pair for the first time expect something clinical and find instead that it runs as one continuous thing. Her flat is a few streets from the Nieuwmarkt, and she takes bookings anywhere inside the ring.

Cricket decides which bookings she takes and may decline any of them; she sets the limits for what a session includes, says what they are, and may end a visit at any point, as the terms set out.

She works outcall only, your hotel room, your serviced apartment, your own flat. Forty to sixty minutes across the centre once the booking is settled, at any hour. Schiphol airport hotels are by arrangement.
