A couples massage over Christmas and New Year in Amsterdam is something many visiting pairs start planning in late summer, and with good reason. The festive season fills the city every year. Light installations line the canals, markets fill the squares, and on New Year's Eve the whole city sets off fireworks at midnight. Couples arrive for long weekends and short winter breaks, and the evenings are cold, dark and early.
Why a couples massage over Christmas and New Year needs planning
Christmas and New Year are among our peak dates. The evenings of 24, 25 and 31 December are heavily requested every year, and far fewer pairs of therapists are free on those nights than in an ordinary week. Couples who write a week or more ahead choose their therapists and a fixed time. Couples who write on the night can still try, and we answer at every hour, but there may be no pair free at the time you want.
Every peak-date booking is confirmed with half the fee, whatever the format. So is anything booked more than 24 hours ahead, which covers nearly every festive booking. That half is sent inside the WhatsApp conversation, using card, Revolut, Wise or crypto. Calling the evening off does not return it. If your plans change more than 24 hours before the start, one move to another date within 14 days keeps it attached; for a Christmas booking, that can carry the session into the New Year week. The cancellation policy explains the details.
Christmas evenings
Christmas in Amsterdam is quieter than many visitors expect. Many restaurants close or serve a fixed menu, and the streets empty early on Christmas Day. Couples often find themselves in the hotel by eight with nothing planned. A couples massage with a therapist each fills that evening well, and the cold outside makes a warm room feel more welcoming still.
New Year's Eve
New Year's Eve is the opposite: loud, busy and late. Fireworks start well before midnight and continue for hours. Two timings suit couples. An early evening session, finishing by nine, leaves you rested for the celebrations. A session on New Year's Day afternoon or evening, once the city has gone quiet, is the calmer choice and often the more popular one. A session running across midnight itself is possible, but most couples prefer to see the fireworks.
Rates for two across the season
Prices do not rise for the holidays. A couple with a therapist each pays EUR 720 for an hour, EUR 1,080 for ninety minutes and EUR 1,440 for two hours. With one therapist looking after the couple in turn, it is EUR 360 per hour. An overnight for a couple with one therapist is EUR 2,500. You will find the whole rates table printed inside each therapist profile.
A winter room
Canal houses are draughty in December. Turn the heating up well before the pair arrive, close the curtains to keep the warmth in, and take hot showers. Hang wet or snowy coats in the bathroom. The therapists bring warmed oils, towels and a clean cover for the bed.
A festive gift
Some couples book a session as a Christmas present for each other, arranged before the trip. If one partner is booking as a surprise, the note on giving a couples massage as a gift covers how to arrange it without spoiling it.
Staying longer through the holidays
Couples who spend the whole week between Christmas and New Year in the city sometimes book two sessions, one to settle in and one to recover from New Year's Eve. If you want the same therapists both times, ask for them by name in the first message and give both dates. Each session is a separate booking with its own deposit. Because the week is so busy, holding both dates early is far easier than trying to add the second one once you have arrived and discovered how much you enjoyed the first.
What to put in the message
The date, the time, the length, a therapist each or one shared, the area you are staying in, and any names you have chosen. Our age line is 21, and it applies to both partners. On long December evenings, a warm room and nowhere to be is a gift in itself.
