If the anniversary falls on a peak date, King's Day, Pride, ADE, a big conference week, or the Christmas and New Year stretch, the deposit applies regardless of anything else. Couples whose wedding date sits in one of those windows should write early, because the pairs go quickly.
Often only one partner knows. That works well as long as the booking partner handles the whole thread, gives a time when both of you will be in, and remembers that the other partner also needs to be twenty-one or older and happy to take part when the therapists arrive. A surprise nobody wants is not a gift; if in doubt, tell your partner that something is booked without saying what.
